Maximilien Robespierre (1758-1794) was a French lawyer and politician. He was one of the most influential people in the French Revolution. Robespierre became the president of the Jacobin political club. After the fall down of the monarchy, he was elected as the deputy of the National Convention. The convention declared France a republic, and put the royal family on trail.
